They sat on the rocks and spun\nstones through the waves vying with one another to see who could\nreachthrow furthrst. \"You\u2019ve got a good a reachthrow for a girl,\u201d said Kevin.\n\"They\u2019re usually hopeless at throwing things.\u201d Sadie threw another\nstone skimming it closely through the waves. \"You must have known\nthe wrong girls,\u201d she said.\n\nAt midday she unpacked her bag. She had made up a picnic after\nher mother had gone to bed the night before. Ham and cheese sandwiches,\ncold sausages, crisps, little sponge cakes, and a bottle of Coca-Cola.\n\n\"I never imaginedFancy you being domesticated, \u201d said Kevin, watching with admiration.\n\n\u201dI'm not. But I like eatingmy grub.\u201d\n\nThey were ravenously hungry afther their bathe., and the fresh salt air, blowing all around them as they perched on the rocks close to the sea. They ate the loteverything.\n\n\"There was supposed to be enough there for our tea as well,\u201d aid Sadie.\n\n\"We won't worry about that.Who cares? I'll buy you a meal in a cafe. I've plenty money on meI'm loaded\"\n\n\"So you\u2019re rich eh?\u201d\n\n\"Well, I got my pay yYesterday was payday. By Monday most of it\u2019ll be spent.
