phoned Elaine (D's sister) last week just to
keep in touch. She's had a hip operation
and has recovered well, I'm glad to say.

I expect you're overwhelmed with work (I mean
two children can be a handful - more
difficult than writing plays!!!) but they constitute
your (and man's) immortality.

Maybe we'll meet in 1989 - I'd love to hear your news
and views - Alan's too of course - and the
childrens chatter.

I keep well: life has changed for me (as you can well imagine):
but it takes its course, and I've certainly got health and
vitality still, So - Good luck to you all for 1989 and For
yours

John
