Vitale,\n\nI understand Mr. James Gracey of Blackstaff Press, who\npublished The Flats, telephoned to tell me that The Irish\nArts Center wishes to do another production of the play.\n\nI was not in when he called and I have not yet seen the\nletter which, I understand, is dated 11th August, and\nwhich Mr. Gracey has only now forwarded to me (it has not\nyet arrived!). I am therefore getting in touch with\nyou as soon as I possibly could, in order that you may\ncommunicate directly with me.\n\nI am very pleased that the Center is doing another\nproduction of The Flats, and I am sure we can reach a\nsatisfactory arrangement.
