I have two\nexcuses: the first is the IRA (presum-\nably) bombed us out of Bedford Street\nrather effectively on the day before I\nstarted on three weeks leave which I am\nnow enjoying! In Belfast!! I have\nread the chapters. They seem to me\nfirst class. I have got from them many\ninsights into Brian's plays and I thought\nI knew the plays reasonably well.
