Dear Mrs. Parker,

I expect Stewart has told you that
I had a mental blackout. I am completely
contrite and ashamed of it. All I can
offer you is my apologies. When I
realised what I had done, I had an awful
feeling of horror and of increa sing age!

With boot wishes to you both.

(John Boyd)

Mrs. S. Parker,
Plat 3,
92 Eglantine Avenue,
Belfast, 9.
