Feb 14th
Dear George, Only just taken in the date and so realised it is your birthday. Many happy returns - Χρόνια πολλά as we say in modern Greece. I was very sorry indeed to hear from James Boyce that you'd been stricken. Please get well quickly. Let me know if there are any books or anything you'd like. This is in great haste. I've got to see a man about some stars – he should arrive in the office any moment. He has! So will write again. In the meantime look after yourself. Greetings and love, Louis.
