July 4th
6 Maiden Lane, London, W.C.2.
Dear Mercy, This is just to tell you that I got married this Wednesday to someone you will like very much. Her name is Hedli and George met her with me in London. We both hope to come over to Ireland about July 20th for at least a fortnight. I suppose you wouldn't be about Belfast when we arrive; my stepmother will be in Co. Tyrone and it may be rather forlorn hitting that great city with no one we want to see there. Must stop now and work on a programme about Hitler,
Love, Louis.
